New Free Historical Records on FamilySearch: Week of 22 November 2021

FamilySearch added 5M more records for England Somerset (Church Records), Berkshire and Middlesex (Parish Registers), Yorkshire (York City Records), and 500K more Catholic records for Argentina (Buenos Aires, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Santiago, Catamarca, La Rioja, Jujuy, and Capital Federal, among others). Country collections were also expanded for Brazil, Finland, Germany, KiribatiSpain, Sweden, and Venezuela.

A new collection comprising the 1835 Census for Iceland was also added, and US collections added 1.5M more records for Massachusetts Boston Tax RecordsBureau of Land Management Tract Books, and Washington Western District Naturalization Records.

Alas, the many changes to the Familysearch records search function have gradually made all but unusable, at least on a desktop. Shame given all the hard work that indexers are putting in. Maybe all the changes have made it wonderful for people using smartphones. Don't know. Just know that after years of use I am giving up on doing FS records searches.
