Come Enjoy a Class on Discovering Your Ancestors on Google Books

The Riverton FamilySearch Library will host a free seminar on Saturday, September 20th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.The public is welcome to attend this conference.

The seminar will help family historians of all skill levels learn:

  • How to find ancestor stories on Google Books.
  • How to perform effective searches.
  • How to obtain transcriptions.
  • How to clip pages.
  • How to find books if the full version is unavailable.
  • How to share discovered stories and photos on FamilySearch.org.

Beginning at 9 a.m., guests will hear from Jimmy Zimmerman, FamilySearch.org team manager and keynote presenter, about how to effectively find, save, and share stories. Following the keynote address this month, guests can attend additional free classes (see below).

9:00-10:00 a.m. Jimmy Zimmerman, keynote presenter

10:10-11:10 a.m.: “LDS Pioneer Research”¾Steven Sorensen

11:20 a.m.-12:20 p.m.: “Resources of New England: A Region Rich in Records”¾Linda Baker

Registration is not required for this free seminar. The Riverton FamilySearch Library is located in the LDS Riverton Office Building at 3740 West Market Center Drive.
